Web Mail:

If you have ever used a Web based mail program such as Hot Mail or Yahoo Mail, the interface of Web Mail will be quite familiar to you.  If you never have, don't worry.  It's extremely easy to use, as well as convenient, for many reasons.  On the Web Mail screen, you will find complete and printable manuals (both in MS Word and PDF formats).  Therefore, we will not go into great detail here as to how to run Web Mail, but we will, cover the basics (how to access, etc.).

Checking the First Email Address:

  1. With Web Mail, you check your email online, from any computer having Internet Access.  Web Mail will only show you mail for one email address at a time, and this will become clear in a moment.  For purposes of this tutorial, we will assume that you have 2 email addresses (sam@mydomain.com and Louise@mydomain.com).  First, we'll check mail for sam@mydomain.com.
  2. Access Web Mail by pointing your browser to your domain's "up" panel like this:  http://www.mydomain.com/up
  3. You will arrive at the login screen for Web Mail.  On the login screen you'll see text boxes to input your email's username and password.  Since we're checking Sam's mail, you will fill the text boxes like so:
    Username:   sam
Password:    ******** (the password you gave the email address)
  4. Click the Log In button.  This will take you to a page that you will only see once.  The next time you check mail for sam@mydomain.com, you'll go directly from the login screen to the actual email area.  At the very top of the page, you'll be asked to enter your name.  It doesn't matter what you enter here.  No one will ever see this, it will not affect how your email works, and the program does not care what you enter here.  Enter your name, nickname, or whatever.
  5. Also on this page, you will have the option to create a unique signature that will be automatically entered into your emails, and where you can customize the way your Web Mail screen will look.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom, click on "Save Changes".  Doing so, will take you to the Web Mail program where you will see where you can compose emails, save drafts, send and receive mail.
  7. All done checking mail, composing, sending, etc.?  Then it's time to LOG OUT.  Login out is extremely important.  Do not leave your Web Mail interface without doing so.  If you fail to log out, any changes you may have done while logged in, will be ignored (i.e., deleting mail, changing an email address, etc.).  Always remember to log out first!

Checking the Second Email Address:

Alright... so you've checked Sam's mail, and now you want to check Louise's mail.  If you logged out properly, you should be back at your Web site's Web Mail log in screen.  Simply follow the steps above (#3 through #7).
